Founding of DE-Consult
Deutsche Eisenbahn-Consulting GmbH was established with eight employees in Frankfurt/Main by the West German Bundesbahn and Deutsche Bank AG.
First major project Sao Paolo Metro, Brazil
Feasibility study for a 65 km network with 68 stations, design of the first 18 km line with a depot, project coordination, construction supervision and acceptance
First Design projects in Germany
Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan – Expansion program for the rail network of the West German Bundesbahn
First regional office in Karlsruhe
Regional office established in Karlsruhe for design work on the high-speed line between Mannheim and Stuttgart
Berlin office established
Consulting and design services for the Senate of West Berlin. The office earns the status of branch office in 1990.
Project offices in Berlin and Erfurt
Established for the handling of rail projects of German Unity.
Joint Board of Managing Directors established
Deutsche Bahn establishes a joint board of managing directors for DE-Consult and EVDR Bahn-Consult, the design and project management office of the East German Reichsbahn. Both companies remained economically and legally independent.
DE-Consult, EVDR-Bahn-Consult and Transport Consult International Berlin GmbH are merged to create DE-Consult Deutsche Eisenbahn-Consulting GmbH.
DB ProjektBau established
Merger of DB Projekt Verkehrsbau, DB BauProjekt GmbH Köln–Rhein/Main, DB Projekte Süd and DB Projekt GmbH Stuttgart 21 to carry out infrastructure projects for DB AG. The technical offices of DB Netz and DB Station&Service and the domestic business of DE-Consult are integrated into the company. DE-Consult becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of DB ProjektBau for the international and third-party customer markets in Germany.
DE-Consult renamed DB International
Now acts as an independent company in the DB Group.
DB Engineering & Consulting
DB ProjektBau and DB International are merged to create DB Engineering & Consulting. Railways for the world of tomorrow.
